Pink Shirt Day
Taking place on Tue 25th May 2010About this Event: In December 2008 a major international report ranked New Zealand second worst among 37 countries when it comes to bullying in primary schools.We plan to run an event called Pink Shirt Day at Whangarei Girls High school. The focus is on an anti bullying message. Students are encouraged to wear pink in a combined show of support towards saying no to bullying. Several different activities will take place within the school during Youth week. This will be youth driven and youth focused. What a great way to address bullying in an extremely loud way (try ignoring 100s of pink shirts)
